Trees for Salmon

The Green Seattle Partnership is teaming up with Swansons Nursery this holiday season to provide native plants for restoration events in Seattle Parks.

There are 4 ways to contribute:

1. Purchase any living Christmas tree, and Swansons will donate a native plant to be planted by volunteers at a restoration site with the Green Seattle Partnership.

2. Choose one of the Puget Sound native species we carry (marked with a “Donate This Tree" medallion above) for your living Christmas tree *. After the holidays, you can return your native tree to Swansons, and it will be added to the Green Seattle Partnership's restoration efforts.
*Please pick up a “Living Christmas Tree Care" handout at Swansons to ensure a healthy tree to replant.

3. Purchase a $5.00 “Sammy" medallion at the cashier (to hang on your Christmas tree), or give as a meaningful gift and Swansons will add a native plant to the restoration effort.salmon need trees

4. VOLUNTEER! Sign up for a Green Seattle Partnership/ Swansons Trees for Salmon Volunteer Event at Carkeek Park on January 21st 9am to noon. For more details REGISTER HERE
