Forest Steward Orienation 2013
We are currently accepting applications for the 2013 Green Seattle Partnership Forest Steward Orientation.
A Forest Steward is a volunteer working in Seattle's forested parklands to restore a healthy forest. Forest Stewards do more than pull ivy and plant trees-- they lead volunteers, teach the community, and serve as contact person for program staff. Read the Forest Steward Position Description to learn about what we are looking for.
If you think that this looks like a good fit, please fill out the Forest Steward Application. Once we receive a registration a staff member will be in touch to go over your application with you. Upon acceptance into the program, we will invite you to register for the New Steward Orientation.
Green Seattle Partnership overview:
The Green Seattle Partnership has an ambitious goal to restore 2,500 acres of forest by 2025- and we need community volunteers to help reach this goal. By becoming a Green Seattle Partnership Forest Steward you will have access to expert support, materials and supplies, tools and a community of restoration volunteers.
If you have any questions about the application, orientation, or being a Forest Steward please contact Andrea Mojzak- amojzak@forterra.org.
