EarthCorps and the Green Seattle Partnership want your help in keeping the forest of Carkeek Park beautiful! Located in North Seattle, Carkeek Park is one of the city's premier natural areas. It offers spectacular views of Puget Sound; over six miles of trails; stream, beach and forest habitat; and ample opportunities for natural exploration and recreation. Carkeek Park is also home to Piper's Creek, an important waterway for spawning salmon. By volunteering with us, you will be doing your part to ensure this amazing place stays amazing for future generations. We will start the day off with a brief history of the park and a discussion on why the work we do is necessary and how it affects forest health. Then we’ll get to work talking care of forest restoration sites and removing invasive plants.
EarthCorps provides gloves, tools, light snacks, and general fun. You bring warm clothes, a water bottle, and a sack lunch. This is a family friendly event!
