Join EarthCorps and the Green Seattle Partnership as we work together to keep urban forests healthy! Forests are a very important part of a city’s structure; they filter the air, drink up storm water run off, and give us cool and shady places to relax in the summer. Interlaken Park is a great example an urban forest. Located just in north Capital Hill, it is home to trails, redwood trees, and streams. Unfortunately, Interlaken Park is being threatened by invasive plant species that kill native plants and make it so there is no room for more native plants to grow! Help us and your neighbors keep Interlaken Park beautiful! Get up a little earlier on Saturday morning and join us as we remove invasive plants, take care of newly planted native plants, and move some woodchips! Where to meet: 19th and Galer
