Friends of Orchard Street Ravine Natural Area welcome volunteers for restoring this conifer Madrone woodland in West Seattle’s Gatewood hills. Enjoy the ravine and meet your neighbors as we plant, mulch, weed, and water during monthly work parties. Learn more about Pacific Northwest native plants and the wildlife they support.
Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Where to meet: Orchard Ravine Natural Area
What to bring: work gloves, dress for weather
Address and directions to site: End of SW Orchard St in West Seattle (From SW California Ave follow SW Orchard St, East to the dead end, or from 35th Ave SW take SW Myrtle St and head west, then south on 39th Ave SW, and east on Orchard St.)
Where to park: A few spots at the site at the end of Orchard Street. More parking is available on 38th (path leads down to the ravine) or 39th (walk up 36th to the ravine).
