Main Site Description:
Join Green Seattle Partnership and EarthCorps in our ongoing efforts to restore Cheasty Greenspace! This is a great opportunity for all Seattlites to get to know this fantastic gem of a forest that stretches for 43 acres between MLK Way and Beacon Ave in South Seattle. Volunteers will be planting in the forest and performing maintenance on restoration sites. This is a family friendly event! We will provide gloves, tools, light snacks and a general good time. Please dress for the weather and bring a lunch if you like!
Time: 10am-2pm
Where to meet: At registration table, near gated Park maintenance yard
What to bring: closed toe shoes, long pants, and a water bottle

Proceed northbound or southbound on I-5. Merge onto COLUMBIA WAY S via exit number 163A toward 15TH AVE. S. Turn LEFT onto S SPOKANE ST and proceed up the hill. Turn right on BEACON AVE S and proceed past the Jefferson Park Golf Course. Turn left on S ALASKA ST. S ALASKA ST turns into CHEASTY BLVD. Follow Cheasty BLVD and look for EarthCorps table/event or signs directing you to the event.

Ride Central Link light rail, a greener way to travel.
Take the Link light rail to the Columbia City Station. From the station head north towards S. Alaska St. Follow signs and cross S. Alaska St. and then walk west (left) up Alaska St. Stay on the sidewalk heading west until you reach the Cheasty Greenspace (approximately 1-2 blocks). There will be a tent and signs directing you to the registration site.
