Jordan’s Blackberry Bash
Jordan likes native plants and the only way to get them is to get out the blackberrys to make room to plant. We are clearing the last few hundred yards of invasive plants on the stretch of the Burke Gilman from 40th Ave NE to NE 65th. Come down and join us! There will be a break for lunch at Noon –bagels, coffee, tea or hot chocolate et al are provided, but you might want to bring your own sack lunch.
Time: 3-21-2010 10AM – 2PM Lunch Break at noon
Where to meet: We’ll have “camp” set up under Princeton Bridge overpass on the Burke Gilman.
1. Driving east on Sand Point Way, turn left at the first traffic light after the light at Children’s Hospital, you will immediately cross Princeton Bridge. Find street parking in the area. Take the trail on the southeast side of the bridge down to the Trail and us.
2. Or, go to Metropolitan Market at 5250 40th Ave NE, 98105 (Use address for google map) The bike trail is on the south side of the market. Follow the trail (and signs) east about 1/3 mile to our “camp” at Princeton Bridge
What to bring: Wear old clothes, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle, we have tools and gloves
